Hand-sewn totes and purses by Susie
may be purchased at: The Browsery and Kirby's Farm Market in Albion, NY

How did Susie get started in purse making?

As Susie explains: "This whole new way of life started with a sewing class at Swan Library (in Albion, NY) taught by one of my sisters. Everyone loved the bags we made. I made bags for my daughters, who of course carried them everywhere. My daughter Sara was a student in the NTID program at RIT. One of the teachers asked about making bags as a fundraiser for a scholarship — I ended up making them 50 bags. Thus began 'Pursenality by Susie" named by another daughter.

This is a family affair. My sisters, daughters, and even my Mom all help in various ways - from cutting and ironing to making prototype bags for me to add to the collection, to selling bags. They are indespensible and the best support group possible. My logo — symbolic of my family — the daisies, my favorite flower represent my husband Larry and I while the 5 butterflies represent our kids."

Below are some photos of my family in action!
